Walking Tours of Sunset Community

I have given walking tours of Sunset area for twenty years now. I never charge...it is purely for fun, unlike Municpal Arts Society and others.

I am looking to pass on my fervor and love for SP as I ready my escape. tony

Thank you for commenting on my blog entry about Sunset Park and the Statue of Liberty centennial. My father and aunt were born in Sunset Park, and my aunt has lived within 1 block of her first home her entire 80-plus years. While I agree that there were some blocks in Sunset Park which managed to retain a good sense of community, the area east of Sunset Park to Borough Park did not fare well during the 1970's through the "Chinese invasion." My aunt and father compared the changes in Sunset Park to when they were kids, which also helps explain my own bias. I'm glad there are people like you who help promote what is good about the neighborhood - indeed, my aunt is amazed at the new people moving into her co-op who think Sunset Park is the city's best-kept secret!
